Learning Lifelong Skills

There is a very famous saying in English.

“Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.”

Students today practised different types of sewing techniques in Home Economics class.  These days, it’s very easy to just throw away clothes that are torn and buy replacements from the store.  But in order to reduce waste and save money, we should try to fix things ourselves.  By learning skills such as sewing, we are not only equipping ourselves for the future but also helping to save our planet.
